Question: Use of premium fuel
The RX calls for premium fuel, as do most Lexus vehicles now. I have been given conflicting advice from Lexus dealers about whether you can actually use lower octane fuel. One has taken the party line that if the owners manual says it...use it. The other worked for one of the largest and oldest Lexus dealers and had been with them for many years. He said premium gas will generate premium performance, but unless you are planning on racing there was no need for premium fuel. The only thing he said was not to change the type of fuel you use. He further stated that EVERY car they delivered was filled with regular gas!
Your thoughts please.
